Jennifer Tracey is the Senior Director, Strategic Communications & Guest Experience at the Toronto Zoo. She has a proven track record in effective communications particularly in areas specific to marketing, media relations, public and member opinion research, community and external relations, strategic planning as well as government and stakeholder relations. She has overall responsibility for all guest-facing aspects of the Toronto Zoo operations ranging from Guest Relations to Learning and Engagement and the Volunteer Program to Health and Safety. She has a proven track record creating a collaborative and supportive workplace for all employees and volunteers. Throughout her career, she has worked at both the federal and provincial levels in the Senate of Canada, House of Commons, and the Office of the Premier as well as senior roles in the not-for-profit healthcare sector in Ontario. In addition, she is a member of the Program Advisory Committee for the Hospitality and Tourism Program and a member of the Leadership Academy at Centennial College, a community member on the Community Police Liaison Committee for 42 Division and a board member for Transportation Options.
She is incredibly proud of the innovative, resilient, entrepreneurial and dynamic team at the Zoo over these past two years with the introduction of new programs, generating new revenue and reaching a new global audience through virtual programming while never losing sight of the Toronto Zoo’s mission of connecting people, animals and conservation science to fight extinction.
