As the Ontario Budget announcement draws near, TIAO, alongside a range of industry organizations, is advocating for action to tackle the workforce issue.
The Tourism Industry Association of Ontario has joined the government's pre-budget consultations in February, where we called for targeted support measures to create the sustainable workforce that our visitor economy desperately needs. TIAO’s Director of Policy and Government Affairs, Jessica Ng's appearance on the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs was recently featured on a recent CBC story, where Ng highlights the challenges faced by the tourism industry and calls for action to address the labour crisis.
