Canada's #1 Latin American themed cultural celebration, the Salsa in Toronto Festival, is a series of city-wide events throughout the summer that celebrate Latin American culture through music, dance, art, and authentic cuisine. The festivities feature Latin dance and art exhibitions, salsa dance parties, and a cultural parade, all capped off with the main event: the annual Salsa on St. Clair Street Festival on Sat. July 5 and Sun. July 6. The Festival takes over midtown Toronto, transforming a stretch of St. Clair Avenue West (from Winona Dr. to Christie St.) into Canada's biggest salsa party. It features an international caliber of Latin music, non-stop dancing in the streets, Latin foods, and fun for the entire family! What started as a local two-day event over 20 years ago has grown into a nationally recognized annual celebration that attracts hundreds of thousands of salsa lovers from near and far. The Salsa in Toronto Festival and Salsa on St. Clair Street Festival are founded by TLN Media Group, presented by TD Ready Commitment and platinum sponsor Jackpot City, and produced by the Canadian Salsa Festivals Project, a federally incorporated Not-for-Profit organization. Join us for a Latin American celebration in the heart of Toronto #ComeDanceWithUs!

  • The Halton Black History Awareness Society (HBHAS) invites the community to the 2025 Halton Emancipa see more

The Halton Black History Awareness Society (HBHAS) invites the community to the 2025 Halton Emancipation Celebration Festival, taking place August 2 at Spencer Smith Park in Burlington, Ontario. This vibrant, multicultural event celebrates freedom, unity, and heritage through music, dance, food, storytelling, and community connection.

HBHAS originally initiated Burlington as the first city in the world to officially acclaim August as Emancipation Month, a milestone recognized internationally. Formerly known as the Halton Freedom Festival, the event was renamed to avoid misassociation and better reflect its purpose and message.

The festival features live music, cultural workshops, and a diverse vendor market with food, crafts, fashion, art, and more. Vendor spaces are available (food vendors: $250, non-food vendors: $75, info booths: $50), with free spots for qualifying community service groups. Attendance is expected to reach over 6,000 this year.

Vendor applications can be made  here. All are welcome to join in this day of celebration, learning, and connection.
