Hair Donation Ottawa

Hair Donation Ottawa raises funds for cutting edge child cancer research at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), and empowers kids with hair loss by providing them with free wigs.

Participants raise pledges for donating their hair and/or shaving their heads (or beards). At the event, they receive a wash, cut and style or shave.

Participating hair stylists from various Ottawa & area salons, as well as teaching staff and students from the Algonquin College Hair Stylist program, volunteer their time for this cause.

Together with our volunteers and supporters, we are proud to announce that have we have raised over $570,000 and over 25,000 inches of hair since 2011.

We are excited to announce our 9th annual event will take place on Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 9:30AM - 4:30PM (during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month).

Fundraising Minimum to participate:
$75 per child/youth
$150 per adult

Any length of hair can be donated and used - even beard trimmings will go towards an environmental initiative. Minimum of 6 inches of hair for donating towards wigs.
