Please join industry expert Sandra Rice from Destination Ontario for an update on Travel Trade. This session will be designed for operators that have worked in the travel trade and those who are interested in learning more. Sandra will cover what to expect regarding the demand for travel, group travel, and FIT’s as the industry moves into 2022. Learn how the pandemic has affected the travel trade. Sandra is the Business Development Manager, North America at Destination Ontario. Sandra has been with the organization since 2000, marketing Ontario as a preferred destination domestically and internationally. She works closely with the industry developing relationships with tourism stakeholders providing education and opportunities for partners to connect with key distribution channels in Canada, the USA, and Mexico. Prior to joining Destination Ontario, Sandra served as the Executive Director of the Southwestern Ontario Travel Association for 18 years and has been an integral part of the tourism industry in Ontario. Sandra was recognized by the then Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Recreation as Chair of the Association of Ontario Travel Associations for her contribution to the development of Ontario’s Tourism Sector Strategy Report – Opportunity, Progress, and Innovation, a collective to strengthen and promote Ontario as a premier destination. Sandra’s career in tourism has been focused on actively promoting, supporting, assisting, and engaging the tourism industry in Ontario by developing innovative programs and delivering results and she will continue to work diligently in this ever-changing tourism landscape.
